Making landscape is something that we learn at an early age. ‘Avventure sui Monti Pallidi' is a project addressed to children between 6 and 10 years of age with a view to making them discover the valuable landscape of the Trentino Dolomites and raise their awareness of the importance of respecting and safeguarding said landscape. The goal of the initiative is to create an educational and creative point of reference for children on the topic of the Dolomites as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The project comprises a web app and two game and activity booklets divided by age range. These two digital and paper tools integrate and complement each other. The booklet can be used both as a preparation for the virtual game and as a final prize to continue the adventure on paper. At first, the booklets appear as sheets to colour, crop and complete. Each sheet is associated with an area of the Dolomites and a theme: village, forest, peaks and sky are connected to tourism, botany, zoology, geology and respect for the environment. The virtual game integrates the booklet with bonus levels and objects to unlock and download upon completion of the various stages. At the end of the pathway, the children, accompanied by four funny characters, will have learnt to put all the elements in the right place and to respect all the Alpine animals, plants, villages and lakes.
