Fondazione Dolomiti UNESCO - coordinamento Loredana Ponticelli Architetto, Italia

The project was conceived with a view to ensuring all the people who visit or live in the Dolomites afirst-hand experience and to provide them with a tool that allows them to access this World Heritage site, either on their own or with an expert tour
guide, regardless of their level of ability. To this end, a dynamic information platform was created, able to grow and evolve over time thanks to the contribution of all local stakeholders. At the same time the foundations were laid for the development of a qualified guiding service, extended to the whole area of the Dolomites and aimed at ensuring people with special needs a better visitor experience. The tools created include a database with all the accessible trails located in the Dolomites,
constantly updated thanks to the collaboration of local stakeholders, an interactive map with twentythree accessible trails tested on the field, where all the routes are geo-localised and accompanied by a description sheet complete with information
useful to plan a hike based on one's own interests and abilities, and a series of training activities addressed to mountain professionals on how to support people with disabilities.
